Idol ~An idol only for you~ is the sixty-eigth chapter of the To Love-Ru Darkness manga series.
Summary[]
Run is in the middle of an interview in a Tv show where they compliments her popularity, but the main topic is her recent coming-out as an alien and Run tells the interviewer that she is from planet Memorze.
At Rito's house, everyone is watching the interview on TV. Lala comment on how initially people thought was a joke, but once Run showed her spaceship on live everyone start to believe her. Peke add that Run along with Kyouko, who has also recently come out as an alien, have formed a sort of "alien idol duo" and now are flooded with offers from overseas. With the amount of aliens secretly residing on Earth, Run and Kyoko's announcement may lead to a cultural exchange. Rito realizes how amazing it is that Run has come this far, and remembers the time she first said she would become an idol to steal his heart. Nemesis asks how it feels to have the most popular idol fall for him and Rito tells her to shut up.
We see Run and Kyouko talking in their dressing room about her coming out as an alien and Kyouko points out how amazing Run is. Run says it is all meaningless if it doesn't lead to the goal. Kyouko guesses that she's talking about Rito and Run says she is unsure how it reflects in his heart. Kyouko remember her about Rito's honesty and that he would never make light of her feelings, which Run agrees. On the way home, Run receive a mail from Galactic Courier and sees a new product on the market: the "Love Max Grade" that promise to make the one you love fall head over heels in love with you.
The next day, at school' entrance, Run tries to talk to Rito only to get swarmed by fans. Momo comments that its normal because she don't come often to school, so everything wanted to talk with her. Run then says in her mind that she will use her backup plan.
Later, Ren walks up to Rito and gives him an envelope from Run saying that he doesn't know what it's about, but it seems she still likes him. He reminds Rito that she is still her sister, and to at least tell her his true feelings. Ren then runs off to look at a new picture book about turtles with Matome. Saruyama asks Rito what he has received, thinking them to be Run's "photo treasures" and Rito deny. Rito opens the envelope to find a letter inviting him to the classroom after school. Rito tells Nemesis he will go to tell her his true feelings. Meanwhile, Run is asking Momo to keep watch outside. Momo assures her that she will and that she won't peek, but she thinks to herself that she will monitor on the cameras she installed. Run leaves, excited, as Momo wonders what Run will do to capture Rito.
After, in the empty classroom, Rito and Run met. Run apologizes for calling him in, but she had to talk to him in private. Rito tells her it is okay, and that he also wanted to talk to her, which makes Run happy since she hasn't seen him recently. Rito ask her if her parents are worried, but Run explains how the whole situation is okay with them. Indeed they are very open-minded and think that she can manage her life on her own. Plus, she doesn't need bodyguards since Memorze is a tiny desert planet and there is no reason to target them. Run explain that his dad created the country agglomerating small tribes and consider any experience like a treasure,indeed even her idol work could help the Memorze' development.
During conversation, Run presses a small button in her hand activating the mecha (hidden on a chair) she ordered that emit an perfume. As soon as Rito breathes it in, Nemesis notes the sweet scent, and sees that Rito's heart rate is going up, possibly becoming aroused. Run also notes that it seems to be working. Momo notices the mecha and recognizes it from the galactic market. It is revealed that the machine actually has a strong aphrodisiac effect, severely increasing the lust of the people who use it. Momo disapproves of this method, but this show how Run's "resolve" is strong.
Run sees how red Rito is and feels her own body getting hot. She then opens her shirt for Rito, exposing her bra, commenting on how it is. The mere sight of her bra makes Rito lunge at her and pull her bra up exposing her breasts while he states in his head that his mind is going blank. Rito's own thoughts begin getting consumed by lust and he thinks that he wants to make all of Run his, but he still shows restraint. Run says it is okay for Rito to touch her, and he immediately begins groping her breasts. Nemesis notes that the drug is way too effective on earthlings. Rito then push Run on the desk while groping her and uses his "techniques" on Run that comment how Rito is amazing and her strength is rapidly leaving her. Nemesis sees that his technique is the same as when he is asleep, and Momo states that as soon as Run falls under the spell completely, there will be no escape. Momo notes that at the rate it is going now, they will actually go to the next base (implied is talking about sex) and asks if it is okay for Run to happen this way.
While Rito grope her butt too, Run feels happy to be so desiderated from Rito and think she should have done this from the start. Right as things are about to escalate, Nemesis take briefly control of Rito' body and tells Run if she's really okay with this. Run then remembers what Kyouko said to her earlier and hits the machine, disabling it. Back both to normal, Run asks Rito sorry for making light of his feelings. Rito also apologize to her for not being honest and reveals to Run that the person he loves is Haruna. Rito then call himself an indecisive guy and not worthy of Run' love. Howewer Run says that she is relieved and was more worried that he and Lala are dating. Instead that Rito getting serious for her sake and told the truth means that she has that much of a hold on him. Leving him surprised, Run states that she will work even harder to become number one of all the girls who love him.
Later, Nemesis joke that there are many positive girls about Rito. Rito then asks Nemesis if she saved him, and she says she just wanted to get in the way of the good part.
Meanwhile Run tells Haruna that she won't lose to her leaving Haruna confused.
