Mother ~An Angel Too Beautiful is the forty-ninth chapter of the To Love-Ru Darkness manga series
Summary[]
Rito and Mikan are peacefully shopping for groceries, accompanied by Celine who is sleeping in Mikan's arms. So, Rito carries the bag, and Mikan comments that it's convenient to have him around.
As they leave the store and begin walking home, they notice a dispute between two delinquents, which is stopped by a mysterious woman with long pink hair, a veil, and a shining aura. The woman tells them that fightining is an unproductive activity and once looked at goodness in each other, they will find a way to understand each other. Surprisingly, the two delinquents make peace. The woman then greets Rito and Mikan which are enchanted from her beautiful voice. Suddenly, they are interrupted by the Principal who, as usual, stripped himself and rush toward the woman to invite her to tea. But, she woman persuades him to use his passion for the good of the world. The Principal then stops and picks up his dress, thanking the woman for her words and promising he will dedicate himself to something like picking up the trash. Rito and Mikan are shocked to see the pervert completly tamed and wonder who she is. Then Lala, Momo, and Nana come up and introduce her as their mother Sephie Michaela Deviluke.
They go back to the Yuuki house and find it covered in security men from Zastin. Lala calls Haruna, telling that they can't go shopping and explains that her mother is very busy doing the government work in her dad's pllace, but she managed to make half a day of time to check her condition. Haruna tells Lala not to worry and is very curious about the queen of Deviluke who is supposed to be the beautiful woman in the universe.
Later, Sephie introduces formally herself to Rito and Mikan and thanks them for taking care of her daughters. Sephie is relived to see Lala look well, and Lala tells her that she is recovering her strength little by little, so will return back to normal soon. Even Nana and Momo are very happy to see their mother, but Nana warns her to don't get close to Rito because he is a beast. Lala tells her not to be rude, but Nana explains that if Rito trips as usual ending to see her mother's face, it will be bad.
Mikan asks what is the problem, and Peke explains that Sephie is the last descendent of Charmians, a small race endowed with the most beautiful appearance and voices in the universe. Their beauty is capable of attracting all form of life regardless of species, so any male who looks at them will turn into a sexual beast no matter how much of a modest person he is. Indeed, Nana says that its like turning every male into the Principal. Peke adds that it has been speculated that the Great Galactic War started as an intergalactic quarrell over one charamian. Sephie admits that she faced many dangers since her childhood due of her charmian trait until Gid saved her, and Rito (rembering him like a pervert) is surprised to hear this. Sephie explains the veil help to supress her beauty to a degree and is glad that her daughters did not inherit this trait. Rito then admits that he thought Lala's mom to be a Devilukian too, and Mikan realizes that Momo and Nana's abilities with animals and plants are a result of being of Charmian descent.
Later in the bathroom, Momo worries that her mother will find out about the Harem Plan, thinking that she will not approve and nobody (even Gid) can't raise the head against her. So, Momo plans to lay low and be cautious. Suddenly, Mikan comes noting Momo corncened, but she mistakes it just for shyness because she meet her mother after a long time. Nana then appears and suggest to take a bath together with Lala and their mom.
Afterwards, all the Devilukeans and Mikan go to Cyber Safari to take bath in an onsen. While Lala is playing with Momo, Nana explains to Mikan that even animals like onsens, so she asked her sister to make one. Mikan asks if it's okay for her to be here because its a family meeting, but Lala says she's part of the family too. Meanwhile, Sephie is still taking her clothes off with Peke's help and Mikan wonders if shouldn't be a problem to see her face, but Nana tells her that only men are affected by the Charmian ability.
Mikan informs Momo that Rito is in the house to put Celine to sleep, and Momo wonders what would happen if he saw her mother's face. Momo thinks this could help to turn Rito into a carnivore, but she quickly gives up the idea because he would fall in love with her mother and the plan would turn in a failure. However, unknown to all, Celine runs off into the Cyber Safri chased from Rito who tells her to get back in the house.
Meanwhile, Sephie is undressed (wearing just a towel and the veil) and talks with Peke about her daughters life on Earth when she hears Nana calling her. Suddenly, Rito appears from a rock, looking for Celine, and notes Sephie's presence while Peke asks him why is he here. Embarassed, Rito tries to explain, but he accidentally trips and crashes into Sephie, grabbing her breasts. Peke comes to check if Sephie is okay and Rito asks sorry but, after getting up, he realizes that he is holding her veil. Rito then sees Sephie's face, and Peke worries now he will fall under the influence of charm power.

- It's revealed that Lala, Momo, and Nana are hybrid Devilukean/Charmian.
- Sephie's abiliy to persuade people with her charismatic voice has probably only a temporary effect as The Pincipal will return to his usual self in the future apparitions.
- As Dragon Ball reference, the sign for the Super Vegeta store has the emblem of the Ginyu Force along with various vegetables used for Saiyan name puns, such as a carrot and lettuce.
