The End of Darkness ~I Hate Ecchi~ is the forty-sixth chapter in the To Love-Ru Darkness manga series.
Summary[]
At school, Oshizu informs Mikado, Tearju, Yui, and Haruna about the current situation. The girls are surprised, and Mikado comments how Yui and Haruna were obscure of the connection between Yami and Tearju; however, they say there was too much a resemblance to be accidental. Haruna notices that Tearju looks worried. Tearju explains that it seems Lala and everyone have stopped Yami's giant sword, but they couldn't do it again. Haruna reassure Tearju that it will be okay, and Yami will be back thanks to Rito and the rest. Tearju thanks her and thinks Yami is not alone anymore.
Back to the giant beansteak, Yami reacts to Rito's words about to do shameless thing to her and calls it a bluff. Yami says that, despite Rito to be the avatar of shameless, he's an earnest boy and its this dicotomy to turn her on. Momo thinks that she's right, and it's the reason of their strategy because a sincere Rito who acts like a pervert will confuse Yami and stimulate the bug in Darkness program.
Rito tries to encourage himself and walk towards Yami who tells that he can come to her, so she will finally kill him. Yami prepare to attack, but Nana summons the Cloud-on (which shoots some thunders to Yami) and Momo summons the Cannon Flower to support. Rito takes to chance to run toward Yami, but he slips to the horror of the sisters and Mea because the ecchi acts need to be of his own will and not accidental as usual.
While is falling, Rito then remembers various past moments where Yami opens her feelings to him and Mikan's encouragement. So, the boy stops himself from falling holding his ground and suddenly, he strips himself, jumping to Yami and grabbing her. Momo realizes that Rito is imitating the Principal, the man who has assaulted Yami the most, and trying to break the wall of his own reason. Laughing and blushing maniacally, Rito then grabs Yami's butt and strip her starting to grope her boobs. Mea notes how Rito is desperately suppressing his true self and playing a role that is not his. Yami is absolutely shocked and says that this can't be Rito, but the boy makes her to blush and moan by rubbing her boobs more and more. Momo realized that Rito is unconsciously using all his experience during the night with her, while he was sleeping and it's his the nature of the Harem King.
Yami doesn't get what is happening and if the boy is Rito or not, she will try to fly away, but Rito is stuck to her. Shouting that he will not let her go, Rito hopes that Yami will wake up after all these ecchi things and he want her to say that usual words. Meanwhile Mea, Momo, and Nana chase them flying too. Yami's body started to change and one of her wing feathers come into contact with Mea. Yami's consciouness flows into Mea, and she found that Yami is actually in love with Rito, the only feeling that even Darkness has no control, the source of bug.
Yami and Rito then fall exactly outside Yuki's house. Rito continues to grope her, but Yami slaps him and finally says her famous catchphrase "I hate ecchi"... Yami is back to normal! Nana and Momo come, saying Yami's horns have disaperead, and Rito did it while Mea welcomes her big sister back. Yami realizes that she nearly wiped Sainan Town, but Rito tells her it's okay because the town is safe. Yami will probably apologize to everyone for she caused trouble, and she then blush telling nothing.
Suddenly, Mikan (unaware of the situation) comes worried for what she saw in town. Discovering Rito and Yami half-naked, Mikan gets shocked and asks them what they're doing. Rito and Yami, embarassed, try to clear the misunderstanding. Meanwhile, from afar, Nemesis watches the scene in silence.

- Though Mea, its officially confirmed that Yami is in love with Rito.
- The moments with Yami that Rito recalls, during the fall scene, are from chapters 2, 5 and 13 but are redraw in different way.
- Yami' flashback about Rito, saw thought Mea, come from their first meet and chapter 158 of first series and from chapters 5, 14 and 38 of Darkness.

This chapter is adapted in Episode 14 of To LOVE-Ru Darkness 2nd. The first meet bewteen from Rito and Yami is naturally redraw differently compared to the same scene from episode 6 of first anime.
